Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Class: Year 5 Year: 2016 - 2017

Year 5 have had the opportunity to spend the day at Liverpool University campus learning about what it is like to be a student. The day included an interactive tour of the campus delivered by current students at the University and  engineering workshops where the children built boats and towers. The day culminated in a mini-graduation ceremony where the children were presented with a certificate of participation and had the opportunity to dress in a cap and gown. This aspiration raising day contextualises the work the children do in primary school and allows them to imagine their future as a University student.
