Welcome to Year 6!

This term PE will be on a Thursday and Friday.

Please send PE kits in on a Monday, so we have them available if any extra PE opportunities arise.

In Year 6 we are lucky enough to have lots of members of staff that help us (Mrs Stephen, Mrs Coxon and Miss Dyson), which means that we are split into smaller groups for all of our lessons.

This term we have started our revision booster sessions in the morning, children can attend breakfast club for free from 8:15 and then come to class for 8:30. We will be concentrating on lots of small activities that will help us with our SATs.

We will also be holding revision booster sessions every Tuesday and Thursday after school. All Y6 children are welcome to attend.

Children have access to lots of websites that assist with their learning and revision to start preparing them for SATS. Children have their own logins for Spellzone, Studyladder, Prodigymaths and Google Classroom. If they can't remember these or you would like a copy of all of your child's passwords, please see one of the teachers.

Homework is due every other Friday, is to be submitted online and a new piece will be given out. Children earn points for their homework which can be added to the behaviour points they earn in class (1 point for a good morning, 1 point for a good afternoon) and they can be traded in at our treat afternoon each half term.

Finally, we are having a big focus on children reading at home. Books can be brought into school any day and swap them when they have let Mrs Stephen know. Reading records are checked on a Friday and children who have read earn a point towards their bronze, silver or gold certificate and prize.

If you have any questions you can catch us before 8:30 or after 3pm.
