Miss Ward

Mrs Stephen

Mrs Marsh

This is your last year in primary school and you are now the oldest in school!  We know it's been a while since some of you have been in school, but don't worry, there will be plenty of adults to help you settle back in when you return in September.

Even though you are not in school at the moment, you are still a valued member of our class.  Make sure you attend our live sessions through Google Meet at 9.00am Monday to Thursday and at 10.00am on a Friday.  It can be difficult to motivate yourself at home, so having a routine is important.

Here is an idea:

8.45 Morning activities to be started

9.00 Google Meet

9.15 Morning activities

9.45 Literacy activities

10.45 Break

11.00 Maths activities

12.00 Lunch

1.00 Afternoon activities - the ones you haven't completed yet.

In Year 6 children sit their Sats, which are tests all Year 6 children in England complete. These tests are important, but we don't want anybody to worry about them.  They are a long way off and when they do arrive we will be fully prepared and ready to try our best!

KS2 SATs Dates 2021 - Testing Period TBC

Children have access to lots of websites that assist with their learning and revision to start preparing them for SATS. Children have their own logins for Spellzone, Studyladder, Prodigymaths and Google Classroom. If they can't remember these or you would like a copy of all of your child's passwords, please see one of the teachers.

This year,  we are having a big focus on children reading at home. Books can be brought into school any day and swapped when they have been read.  Mrs Stephen is in charge of reading books.  Reading records are checked on a Friday and children who have read throughout the week earn  points towards their bronze, silver or gold certificate and prize.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office and one of us will give you a call back.
