Charcoal Sketching
Lesson: Art and design
Class: Year 2 Year: 2015 - 2016
In our first art lesson of the term we explored charcoal. Mountain ranges are going to be a big focus in our topic lessons on 'Adventurers and Explorers' so we created our own mountain scene through sketching. We referred to an example by our focus artist Robert Lillie and designed our own interpretation in charcoal, creating light and shade through the use of the different edges and pressures of the charcoal and charcoal pencil.
