Year 3's visit to Manchester Science and Industry Museum

Lesson: Science

Class: Year 3 Year: 2016 - 2017

On Tuesday 7th March Year 3 went on a visit to the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester.

We had a jam packed day filled with lots of exciting activities. First we had a Light workshop which helped us with our new science topic back at school. Then we went for a look around the Air and Space hall, this was filled with some very old planes, cars and lots of engines. We even got to stand underneath a plane!

After lunch we went to watch Revolution Manchester show, we learnt all about how cotton was made and how the city of Manchester helped. Next we went upstairs into Experiment! This is a hands on science area designed for children. We had lots of fun in there!

"I got to put my hand inside a tornado!"

"My favourite thing was seeing a skeleton move when I was pedalling."

"I really enjoyed creating buildings and knocking them down with an earthquake!"

We had a lovely day and are ready to tackle our new Science topic of Light!
