Children in year 6 and 4, together with their parents, have been lucky enough to take part in a workshop inspired by the The Spook's Stories from best-selling children's author Joseph Delaney.
They recieved a visit from A Spook who is challenging them to help him with some writing tasks. It was clear that everybody was thoroughly engaged throughout the course of the day.
The video clip below is for the new movie based on the books.

I was really excited to hear Wendy gush about todays Spooks activities. Although she is ill, she still wanted to go into school today to meet Mr Delaney and his son. It was only as she was telling me about his books that I realised that it was only the night before the visit (Tuesday night) that I watched the movie 'Seventh Son' that is based on Mr Delaney's book and I must say the movie is excellent and we are definately (Wendy and myself) going to get a hold of these books and read them.
Miss Piper wrote:
Wendy was a star writer today and I am so pleased to hear how she shared her experiences today with you, and as a result you are now both going to get to enjoy reading and discussing the books together. This is exactly the kind of thing that we hoped would come out of the workshop today.
