Advent 2016

Date: 18th Oct 2016 @ 8:17am

After the global success of our thoughtful advent calendar last year we thought we would try something new this year. Year 5 and 6 pupils have been busy making little video clips to challenge you to join in with our thoughtful acts. All you need to do is open a video each day whilst trying to complete their challenges. Why not comment below to let us know how you are doing  and don't forget, you won't be able to open a video early so no trying to peek. Good luck everybody and see you on the 1st of December.

Check out our map of how far our thoughtfulness has reached so far!

It was fantastic to see me on your whiteboard. Thanks for replying and please keep replying and telling people you know.

Mrs Winter & K.LW/VH wrote:

Good Morning Yr5 &6. We have sent a photo to Miss Piper of the idea you have inspired us to do today! We will be collecting woolies from the staff and students in our school to donate to a homeless shelter.
We also discussed that people in need could also be someone who is lonely or tired (like our parents - who we could make a nice cup of tea for this evening)
Have a great weekend!

Hi from sunny Adelaide, South Australia.
I am Cousin to your teacher Miss Oakley. I was invited to take a look at your presentation. I have been so impressed with not only the presentation but also that you all show so much kindness and care. Last year my project to help those in need was to contribute to SolarAid providing LED lamps for South Africa. A few dollars helped many people to switch from kerosene lamps to LED lamps. No more smokey rooms, poor light and poisoning from fumes. With the extra light they were able to work in the evenings to bring in much needed money for their families.
Wishing you a very Merry Xmas and New Year. May this project be the most successful so far!

Tamzin wrote:
